Kent Babin was born in Canada in 1983. He spent his fourth year of university volunteering in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and on internship in Chandigarh, India. In 2006, he received his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in International Business from the University of Calgary. Since then, he has lived in Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Indonesia and has travelled to more than seventy countries. His debut novel, Revenge is a Dish Best Served on the Mongolian Steppe, is set in Mongolia and China. The next novel in the Furtive Khan series, Bound by Crimson Threads, is set in India. He plans to continue the series, with the next book taking place in Egypt.

By far the best of the 3 books in the series. Plot was well formed, characters well rounded, and events took their time to unfold. Still found Urquhart to be strangely not sinister, but maybe that's just because I'm comparing him to Kevin Spacey's ch ...more
