How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kent Babin I try not to think about writer's block. The times I have experienced it have been a direct result of me trying to be too perfect with my writing. What I have done instead is become comfortable with the idea that my first draft of anything will be something resembling garbage. Editing is where the real work is done, and I find it is much easier to avoid writer's block when you're editing something that's already been written.
