Goodreads asked Kent Babin:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Kent Babin Do whatever it takes to get that first novel done. Write on your mobile phone during your morning commute, dedicate 30 minutes a day to putting words down on the page, or any other routine that you can iterate over time. You'll gain so much confidence and learn a lot from the process that it will make the next book easier. I'd also recommend honing the craft of novel writing in your genre. It will make your work that much better.
