But no, honesty I usually …moreI wish I could say that I have some great answer for this one. Usually I 'deal' with it by driving everyone around me nuts! But no, honesty I usually try not to stress out about it. When I have a story to write, I just write it. When I don't, I try to do something else productive in life until another story occurs to me.

One thing I will say is this--don't let ANYTHING get in the way of your dream. Writer's block in my experience is often a misnomer for depression over others' invalidation of my work. When I find that this is the case, I just tell myself, "The only way to prove them wrong is to flourish and prosper," and then I go ahead and MAKE myself write. Even if it's initially painful, I'm always happier at the end of an hour spent banging my head against my fist to come up with the next four or five words, than an hour spent moping over how I'm "not a good writer", etc.

The ONLY person who is allowed to criticize my work is my editor. Everyone else...I just don't give.(less)
