Margaryta Hey~

Hermione Hi!

Hermione I'll give it a shot. (:

Margaryta Well when you do finish the series you have hanging I really recommend you pick T.C. up - it's really worth it like I said before

Hermione Yes, it does sound interesting. But one of my pet peeves is not finishing a series. I feel like I'm dangling on a branch if I do that, just awaiting towards my death. So I don't usually start series until I'm positive I'll be able to finish them.

Margaryta I really recommend it. Though the story line gets very confusing at times overall it is more than worthwhile, at least in my opinion

Hermione I started reading TRC, but there are so many chapters that I don't have the time, honestly, to finish all of it. xD So I didn't try to, haha.

Margaryta I have yet to watch or read that series, to be honest. I've heard of it, but that's about all I can say on the topic ^^"
My favorite Clamp series would have to be Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - I honest to goodness adore it so very much. Pretty much all series by Clamp that I've read are amazing, yet I haven't gotten to every single series they have.

Hermione Haha, I totally get it! Inserting his key into her lock ... Yeah, well, I understand! xD I don't like to read much smut fics or anything smutty about that because I can't imagine any of them doing that. (; Well, anyway, let's move on to another topic! Shugo Chara!'s long gone by now ... Have you read Kobato? I started watching the anime, but then moved so I haven't resumed it yet. I'm going to start reading the manga; I've heard it's really good. Any input?

Margaryta Yeah. I found that one really cute actually, the Humpty Lock and Dumpty Key idea. I personally however have some friends who got dirty ideas from it -_-" I ended up bashing them across the head with an encyclopedia to clear out the misunderstanding

Hermione Same. It was an open ending, and given their personalities, I think that was best. I can't imagine Amu saying 'I love you' to Ikuto and then kissing him. Frankly, if that's how it ended, I would have been disappointed. So, I was glad, and even though it was open, it was pretty much a narrow open ending. Peach-Pit gave a lot of hints throughout the series that Amu was going to be with Ikuto, I think. The most prominent one was "The Humpty Lock and Dumpty Key are destined to be with each other."

Margaryta Haha, I agree, but I've yet to find a series where I don't agree with the shipping.
Um I did feel sorry for him, and I hoped he'd end up with someone else, but I can't say I was sad to the point where I was practically crying my eyes out for him XD
Anyways the series really pleased me with everything, especially the ending

Hermione I kept telling myself that I shouldn't ship too hard for amuto because at that time, I had no idea who Amu was going to end up with; not that I was conflicted or anything, but the romance between both love interests were so intense, I felt like she wouldn't choose. And if she did, she wouldn't pick Ikuto.
So I tried to send my feelings out the window and decided that if she ended up with Tadase, I could always resort myself to fanfiction, and find the jewels to fill my soul there. xD But just as I was regaining my neutral state, episodes 70's came along where Ikuto lived at her house ... And then I gave up. I was a torn-dead amuto fan.

AND SHE DID END UP WITH HIM! Technically, haha. :D So I guess I just made the right choice! (: But really, Peach-Pit made it so that I couldn't tell who she'd go with. Usually I can tell by the first few chapters, and I'm positive of who'll be. This time I was really unsure.
Is it just you, or do you feel sorry for Tadase? Technically, since he didn't end up with her. (In the manga, at least ... But the manga's the real deal, anyway! :D)

Margaryta Oh, I see. I usually get confused with the ages ^^"

I actually don't remember how I came upon SC...I think It was because I had seen the eggs and had thought it was a very cute idea, or something along those lines. Seeing Ikuto just made me happy that I had decided to pick up the series in general

Hermione No, well, actually, they were around those ages. For the first half of the series, when Amu was in 5th grade, she was 12. And later on, she turned 13. So, yes, it is around your ages -- 12/13.
This may seem a bit strange, but the whole reason I started watched Shugo Chara! was because of Ikuto. I was watching Youtube videos, and they made this couple yaoi pairing of Ikuto x Zero, and I was like, "oooh, who is this?" And thus my obsession with SC! was born. And how I became an amuto fan.

Margaryta I absolutely agree. It's just it's funny that when I watch/read the series, I think of them being at least 13/14, and in reality they're slightly younger than that, I think they're 10/11?
Yeah, Ikuto was just the main focus point for me in the whole series. He was so mature and impressive

message 9: by Hermione (last edited May 04, 2012 09:34PM)

Hermione Right. Feeling's mutual. :D
Yeah ... They are definitely mature! I think Peach-Pit chose the right ages, though. If they were in their later teens, most of their problems about "fitting in" probably would've been solved. Peer-pressure, popularity, find one's true self ... I think those all take place in your early- to mid-teen years. So, yeah, I think it's a great age they picked!
Oh, and Ikuto ... Dude, that boy's been through so much. He had to start relying on himself since he was a little boy. I think it's okay to assume he's so mature and passionate and caring. (:

Margaryta Yeah, I do regular check ups, and I get notifications when people comment, so I'll always answer.

I didn't like Rikka, I found her annoying and bratty.
The only thing about Shugo Chara is that when I reread or rewatch it, it's hard to comprehend that the characters are around grade 5/6. They just feel older to be honest, especially Ikuto.

Yay, hugs! :3

Hermione Oh, well, as long as you do regular check-ups. That's fine, though. (:

Yeah, I didn't like Party either. Like you, I watched the first few episodes and then I found out that we would have a new character named Rikka (and I hate filler characters) so I didn't want to watch it. :/ Plus, Ikuto wasn't in that season, either. I only watched the last episode (cuz it had Ikuto!) and the episode where Ikuto called Amu (;

I personally found the manga much more satisfying ... :D

yaaay~ /big hug

Margaryta I'm still alive, don't worry. Like I said I don't go on here usually to write reviews or that kind of things anymore, only to check up on reviews for other books and to find new ones to read.

I didn't like Party!, I watched a couple episodes and dropped it. And I like the manga only a tiny bit better, cause Ikuto there is so smexy <3 Haha. And I agree, somehow the anime wasn't as gripping as the manga. Or I'm just pretty picky.

Haha yup. Every time I meet a manga lover I feel like giving them a big hug, cause we're all like family <3

Hermione Margaryta wrote: "It's alright, I LOVE long comments, as well as people who I can talk to about books.

Oops, sorry. I never got an alert, so I didn't know you replied, haha. But then again, it says you were last active in April, so idunno if you're still alive there!

Anyway, yeah. I definitely agree - the plot's definitely original and different. It's one of the many reasons I like it (and because it's shoujo girly and I adore all characters! Even the enemies, haha!) By the way, what do you like better? The anime or the manga? And what did you think of the Party!? If I were talking in general, I would say that the manga is almost always better than the anime; the companies always manage to screw up the good parts. So I liked the manga of SC!.

Endangered? Well, you know what they say - we must huddle together and protect ourselves from prying humans with our furs. :3

Sure. (: I mostly read shoujo, though; unless you have a very good shounen. I would love a recommendation!

Margaryta It's alright, I LOVE long comments, as well as people who I can talk to about books.

I just haven't posted on here at all in a long time. I've read at least a hundred books since the last time I've written a review, I just get lazy sometimes to write them or most likely forget haha

I can't say I have that feeling with rereading, especially with manga. I love going back to it as it's like getting that magical tingle all over again, at least it's that way for me.

Haha yup, Amu and Ikuto forever. I really love the series - it's one of my favorites. I've never read a manga like it, so it's very original in my opinion.

Oh wow, it's awesome to meet someone like me for once! I'm what you might call an endangered/dying species - not many people like me out there.

Of course, feel free to snoop through. Like I said I haven't updated in forever so if you would like a recommendation that's in a more specific genre I can rummage through my journal cause that's where I keep a list of all my favorites and mangas I'm currently reading.

Hermione I agree; Glimmerglass is one of my favorites of fairy novels!
Oh, and I'm such a manga addict, too! Haha, I haven't posted most of them here, because I guess I just hate the idea of only liking vol. 1 of the manga and not the others. I don't know why, it's like an organizational and stupid issue with myself. xD

Like just like you, I've LOVED Shugo Chara! I was so sad when it was completed. ): I still think about it sometimes, but when I tell myself to read it again, I always find that whenever I reread manga, it ruins the once magical effect I had when I first read it. So I don't reread manga ... Books, however ... I reread all my favorite ones! Like three or four times!
Amu and Ikuto all the way!

And you're practically my other half. I have all these ideas but then end up abandoning them ... Haha, basically everything you've described yourself as is the same with me. :P

Whoops. I wrote so much. Sorry. ^^" Btw, I need some manga rec recommendations. :D I'll probably snoop through your favorites. C:

Margaryta Hi! Yes, I did. It was a very wonderful novel, I really enjoyed it. I've read so many more since then, I just haven't really updated my profile in forever.

Hermione Thank you for accepting my request! I see that you've enjoyed Glimmerglass!
