As I thought about my own feeling about them, I realized that although I liked series alright, I preferred a book to have some conclusion. Too many of them left me stranded at the end of the book, waiting umpty squat number of months for the next one, only to be left with yet another cliffhanger.

As I contemplated what kind of series would offer a definite ending but have something that would tie a series of books together I thought of the series my daughter loved as a youngster 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' and bingo I got the idea of having a Mystic Meteor travel on to a new set of characters in each book with the help of a main spirit which turned out to be Amá sání, the grandmother spirit, from the first story.

I am already hard at work on the next book in the series and the meteorite is now in the hands of it's new owner. I'm a planner so I also have outlines for two more stories after the one I'm writing now, and ideas for a few more that will keep writing them as longs as the readers want them.(less)

“Where ya goin’?” Coleen asked. “I’m taking Lena to dinner, then we’re going dancing.” Coleen threw a hand on her hip. “You don’t smell the gumbo that’s been cooking all day? It’s your favorite. I stuffed every aquatic creature I could find into that pot. Claws and legs are hanging out all over the place.” “I’ll have some tomorrow,” Jorie said as she caught one of the screws that dropped from the blade. “I made pie, damn it. Pecan, just because I know you love it. Bring that woman here for dinner and save yourself a buck or two.” “Oh, no,” Jorie said with a laugh. “I really like her. It’s too soon to expose her to an Andolini dinner.”
