A lifelong lover of stories, MIKE MARSBERGEN lives in Keswick, a small Canadian town where not much happens, located slightly north of Toronto, a big city where quite a bit happens. He spent his late twenties living halfway around the world in the beautiful subtropical city of Auckland, New Zealand—which is where he’d live if he had an unlimited-money cheat code in life. Or citizenship.

Two teachers are to blame for pushing him firmly onto the path of storytelling. In Grade 7, Ms. Brennan gave him the “Most Creative Stories Award,” and in Grade 12, Mr. Baird challenged him to write something other than weird comedy. So he wrote his first horror story.

Yup, the time has finally come. Mike Marsbergen has just released his debut book. Is it a novel? Not really. It's a book of short stories, all of them standalones, but yet at the same time there's something about them that feels as though they could all be linked together.
