If you're waiting impatiently for the next fic in the "Perfectly Normal" series to come out, here's a series by another author you may enjoy while waiting. :)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This long HP series thus far reminds me a lot of my own "Perfectly Normal" fanfic series, and I recommend it to my readers who are looking for something a bit similar to devour. It has some similar themes of a Slytherin!Harry, an awkwardly protective Snape, a pet snake, some pure-blood culture elements, and a relatively realistic take on the long-term effects of child neglect.
It's not a copy, it's a unique work in its own right, it's simply playing with similar tropes. It's well-written and edited, with an engaging storyline.
I'm currently up to "Pyrite", the third fic in the series.
