Catching up on the Hugo noms for this year. This novella is good if all you're looking for is a paint-by-numbers murder mystery which just happens to cross over into upload-time. It's definitely a Miss Marple SF adventure. Which is great for what it i ...more |

It just goes to show I shouldn't pay too much heed to the bookshelves certain books are put in. I honestly thought this was going to be a Dark Academia type novel. Spoiler. It isn't. It IS, however, a fantasy court intrigue novel that sits firmly in ...more |

It's hard to believe this is the last book. Or how long it is compared to all the rest. But that's a good thing. It's one thing to be at the pinnacle and to compete in a game of Risk and tower defense for the whole world against the Emperor himself a ...more |

Hey Brad, thanks for the add. I see we have "a few" books and a great reading taste in common, but foremost... kudos for the lengthy reviews (I'm curious to find out what you think about at least those common books). Keep it up and enjoy the rest of your TBR. :)

Chasm wrote: "Hi Brad! Hello! Do have any idea about what sci fi books that used economics as its main theme? Thank you."
A ton of Charles Stross books focus on economics, but it's not limited to just him. A lot of SF does. Heinlein is great for it, but short of doing a long survey of works, I could recommend some like Neptune's Brood, The Foundation Trilogy, Rule 34, Cryptonomicon, or even Dune if you do a careful reading.
Hi Brad! Hello! Do have any idea about what sci fi books that used economics as its main theme? Thank you.

My pleasure! Never be afraid to converse! ;)
Hello Brad! Thanks for accepting the friend request. Looking forward to our bookish chats. Cheers! :)
Do likes count as communication?eh, not really. although I do appreciate them of course!
the main reason I put that in my friend request question is because I don't like having too many goodreads friends so from time to time I go on a friend deleting spree. I always keep the friends I recognize (unless they are inactive or have somehow annoyed me). so to stay my friend, I have to recognize you, and one of the ways to do that is to become a real person to me by occasionally communicating with me. however the other way to do that is by regularly writing reviews that I enjoy. you definitely have the latter covered!
