Daniel S. Fettinger was born in Michigan. He stayed there for a number of years until he decided not to live there anymore. Now he lives in San Francisco, a town he finds quite to his liking. After studying English at Michigan State University, Daniel spent 25 years making computers go “beep boop beep” until finally deciding to pursue his first love.

These days Daniel writes stories for children like his daughter. He hopes other kids (large and small) will enjoy what he writes. In his spare time he is a tinkerer, a Reiki Master and a homework assistant, sometimes all at once.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Daniel S. Fettinger I find that walking helps me a great deal. Basically anything that helps clear the mind and gets me away from the keyboard for awhile is of great use.…moreI find that walking helps me a great deal. Basically anything that helps clear the mind and gets me away from the keyboard for awhile is of great use. I've never been one to subscribe to the "just start writing" school of thought, as that typically just results in a long string of very cramped feeling words appearing on my screen. Making sure that I have access to my laptop and a quiet spot for when inspiration does hit is also key for me.(less)
