Mister Romance by Leisa Rayven

I can't even.

I mean, it's just... You don't understand, there's this... Nope. No words.

It's really frickin' hard trying to put into words how good this novel is. Since I'm not the most logical creature, I reckon I'll start by explaining what it's not. No idea what I'm talking about? Be patient, you will.

You see, there were so many ways this book could have died a slow, dismal death—think poorly scripted gangster in a C grade Hollywood film. I'm not even joking. The storyline itself teeters the edge of truth and fiction the entire time. It leaves the reader questioning, "Was that the real, Mr. Romance? No, wait, was that him? This is messing with my head, I need to lie down ... after I finish this chapter."

Only truly skilled writers can flirt this close to the precipice of brilliance without falling ass over tit. And Leisa Rayven doesn't just flirt, she salsas the entire damn way. It's fascinating to watch the rising tension between the hero and heroine, the chemistry between them is off the charts! Heck, even the minor characters deserve their own standing ovation.

All in all, an AMAZING book.
