Steen was born and raised in Woodstock, Georgia. While only recently discovering her passion for writing, she’s always been an artist and a storyteller. After owning a social enterprise for five years, and raising two children with special needs, Steen decided to pursue a story idea that gripped her years ago and The Door Keeper Trilogy was born.

When she’s not writing, you can find her reading in her treehouse, painting, cuddling with her two dogs, or baking. Steen loves binge watching TV shows with her husband and spending time with her two incredible (now adult) children in their backyard pool.
