It helps…moreI drop what I'm working on and walk away. Let it sit there for a few days, maybe longer. Focus on something else, and stop thinking about it. It helps keep me from getting trapped in the "I can't think of anything" loop. Sometimes I write something else, sometimes I don't do any writing at all. Each person is different, though. My girlfriend does research for her setting until she gets an idea.(less)

It got me to finish Liminal, at easily three times the length of the initial story.(less)
