Thank you so much. Would you mind if I were to send you a blurb when I get pretty far along? Now I can work harder at letting my girl/woman loose so she can start her adventure/journey. I plan on sending my outline for the story that I believe with my whole heart it is good. I think (you; meaning a writer) need to believe in your characters and story line before you can work it to completion.

Thank you for the information. Now can you tell me how to get over the fear of someone stealing your work? As you can tell I am working on this project and am hoping that I am good enough to finish and maybe make some money. If I make a name then so much the better. Nope, I do not have an ego problem unless you want to say that I am paranoid of losing something that is hard work. Thanks, Fellow Oregonian

The reality is, generating money from your written work takes time. It is obviously precious to the writer, but its value in the marketplace is unknown. Plagiarism in this context, taking your work and slapping another person's name on it for quick money, is not a simple path. Therefore, the would-be-thief will have the same obstacles any other new writer would have in the marketplace. It is just not a viable crime.

Right before you publish, you can submit your work to be registered copyright. (www.copyright.gov/registration/litera...) This is a record that your written work belongs to the creator. Legally, this is your best recourse. It will afford you protection where in the situation you need to to court in the rare case of plagiarism.

Wow, August is nearly here. Autumn is on the horizon. I love the autumn. Mostly because by the time September rolls in, I am sick of the heat and sun (I love living in an area with four seasons).
