Always Time for Tea!

As April approaches things are getting very busy both at home on the farm and with my children who have some big exams coming up.
One of my favorite ways to relax is with a nice cup of tea. I'm also working on my next novel, which follows the story of Sebastian Black, who incidentally made his fortune on importing tea from China! I'm having so much fun researching how it was imported in the Regency Era - agencies in China traded smuggled opium from Calcutta for tea leaves in China. It makes my trip to the supermarket for a box of Barry's look very tame!

New Release!

The Duke's Brother: A Regency Romance

My new novel The Duke's Brother is now available on Amazon. It was such a pleasure writing this story, as I loved the characters of both Sebastian Black and Aurelia St. Claire. Both were a bit damaged, a bit lost...but in each other they find happiness. Aurelia in particular - who these days would probably be diagnosed with OCD or an anxiety disorder - is one of my favourite characters that I have written. She suffers a series of losses, and it affects the way she thinks and looks at the world. She is always nervous, always afraid, but she learns to live with her anxieties. As someone who has lost loved ones, I wanted to write about how it is not something you get over, rather something that becomes a part of you...Oh but it sounds like it's all gloom and doom! There's lots of intrigue, love and laughs. And a happy ending of course!
