The Duke of Ruin Now Available on Amazon

When Lord Greene wagers his daughter's hand in marriage in a card game, no one is less surprised the woman herself. The only thing that shocks Olive is that the man that he has gambled her away to is none other than The Duke of Ruin.

Rumours abound that the Sixth Duke of Everleigh callously murdered his late wife and killed her lover in a duel --and now Olive is to become his bride.

Ruan Ashford took one look at Olive Greene and knew that he had to have her in his bed. The beautiful, auburn-haired temptress will make a perfect Duchess; there's only one problem - his new wife despises him.

When a chance arises for Olive to disappear she readily grabs hold of it, and soon the Duke of Ruin is hunting the Cornish countryside for his runaway bride. When he finds her can he convince her that he's not the dreadful villain the world thinks him to be and that his love for her is real?

Release Date for A Lady Like No Other

I'm pleased to say that A Lady Like No Other, will be released on August 5th.

The story follows the romance between the quirky Lady Lydia Beaufort and the ever charming Marquess of Sutherland.

Featuring fortune tellers, rogue Italians and a friends-to-lovers theme, that may leave you a little misty eyed, this is - I think - my best work yet.

Hopefully, everyone will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Lydia has been many readers' favourite character in the Regency Black Hearts Series, and I hope that I have done her justice.

After this, I will be releasing a Reluctant Bride Standalone novel, featuring a Duke who is, by all accounts, an anti-hero and a leading lady who leads him on a merry chase.

Take care,

Claudia xx

New Release!

The Duke's Brother: A Regency Romance

My new novel The Duke's Brother is now available on Amazon. It was such a pleasure writing this story, as I loved the characters of both Sebastian Black and Aurelia St. Claire. Both were a bit damaged, a bit lost...but in each other they find happiness. Aurelia in particular - who these days would probably be diagnosed with OCD or an anxiety disorder - is one of my favourite characters that I have written. She suffers a series of losses, and it affects the way she thinks and looks at the world. She is always nervous, always afraid, but she learns to live with her anxieties. As someone who has lost loved ones, I wanted to write about how it is not something you get over, rather something that becomes a part of you...Oh but it sounds like it's all gloom and doom! There's lots of intrigue, love and laughs. And a happy ending of course!

Always Time for Tea!

As April approaches things are getting very busy both at home on the farm and with my children who have some big exams coming up.
One of my favorite ways to relax is with a nice cup of tea. I'm also working on my next novel, which follows the story of Sebastian Black, who incidentally made his fortune on importing tea from China! I'm having so much fun researching how it was imported in the Regency Era - agencies in China traded smuggled opium from Calcutta for tea leaves in China. It makes my trip to the supermarket for a box of Barry's look very tame!
