Over many years Lew owned and managed several successful businesses and also found the time to write many short stories and essays, which can be found on his blog at: https:rewriter2014.wordpress.com/

After retiring about four years ago he realized it was now or never to begin writing a novel. After working on two different ideas for a few months one of them emerged as the most interesting and challenging.

Three and one-half years later he completed a 317 page 76 chapter novel titled: Gifts from the Sea.

His novel was recently published by Quake Press and is available on Amazon.com as a printed book or an E-book.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

As I form ideas in my mind I try to "play them out" by hypothetical situations to see if they are good enough and/or believable. It really bugs me when I'm reading a book or watching a movie that is not supposed to be fantasy or science fiction and I'm thinking, "this just couldn't happen."
O.K., back to writer's block. Usually by the time I sit down with my computer the story is pouring out of my brain and I keep going until things slow down. Then I try to think of what might come next and go back to the "mind game."(less)
