Teacher. Blogger. Husband. Introvert. I ♡ Gayu

I am author of the book Political Internet: State and Politics in the Age of Social Media (Routledge 2017), Intimate Speakers: Why Introverted and Socially Ostracized Citizens Use Social Media (Fingerprint! 2017).

I have finished the typescript of three books—

Second, on the negative impacts of social media; and

third, a novel—

Presently working on a narrative non-fiction with the working title Lovescape: Why India is afraid of love.

Next work is Democracy and Social Media. I will finish this work by 2019.

I also knew that most of them had almost the same answer. Some bigwigs! Hemingway, J.M. Coetzee, Orhan Pamuk, Zadie Smith, Salman Rushdie, Samuel Beckett, Joseph Conrad, Margaret Atwood, Aravind Adiga, Haruki Murakami, Thomas Mann and the list goes up. I have tried to read all of them. Many times. Had attempted to read them many times but stopped after few pages. But failed. I wasn’t able to understand them. It required labored reading.

But I too never preferred the likes of Chetan Bhagat, Amish Tripathi, Sudeep Nagarkar, Ravinder Singh.

So I prefer anything in between. Simple language. Simple vocabulary. Great idea. Anything that can relate with life. Serious also! Any writer who falls in this category is my favourite writer.

I think I have convinced you.(less)

The best mystery in your life is how you relate your life with other people's life. Then everything is a story.

And anything you tell with love can be a good book plot from your life.(less)

Intimate speaking has become a difficult art in my nation!

Let me explain this idea in my book Intimate Speakers by telling you how intimate speak is becoming difficult art in our nation.

Strategic alliance alone brings no solution. Surveillance has already shadowed the people power of social media. They never let you flap your wings furiously. All because 'big brothers' want intimate speakers rip off its wings. I am an intimate speaker. All of us, at leas Read more of this blog post »

Kahlil Gibran
“No man can reveal to you aught but that which already lies half asleep in the dawning of your knowledge.
The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom but rather of his faith and his lovingness.
If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.”
Khalil Gibran, The Prophet
