Hi there!

Firstly, thank you for the great question. Sorry it's taken me so long to answer it, but I've been working on my new book.

Secondly, the easiest way to describe my books is that I write whatever pops into my mind. I'm a proud multi-genre lgbtq+ writer.

I've co-written a sci-fi adventure called Time to Burn that looks at the impact war, grief and anger can have on a person. The main character is given the chance to turn back time but is warned there will be consequences if he does.

There's also The Case of the Morbid Detection, which is my take on Sherlock Holmes and something I'm very proud of.

Finally, I've written the dark urban fantasy series Mother, Dearest. A series praised for its portrayal of mental health and the LGBTQ rep while creating a world of magic, fairytale characters, deities, and even a half-dead talking deer who helps the heroes. It consists of two books at the moment but the third is coming out soon.

Again, thank you so much for such a great question.(less)

Hell, as Seen from Heaven

It's taken me a while, but I've finished the third book in the Mother, Dearest series.

This one was particularly hard to write, not because I didn't love the characters, I do, but because I was nervous at the level of homophobic and transphobic abuse I would get when it's released.

If I'm honest, it nearly put me off of writing the next part of the story.

The thing that changed my mind on that was he Read more of this blog post »

" That’s mighty high praise. Thank you so much. "
Time to Burn by Patrick Scattergood
"Oh my word. How does this book have so few reviews?!

How far would you go, what would you do, what sacrifices would you risk, to change a past tragedy?

While the plot of unintended consequences altering a timeline isn't a new plot and is in fact, a ver" Read more of this review »

“As I travel through the chilly night with the rain drizzling on to my windscreen, a bladder full of piss and a belly full of hunger, there is one thought plays around in my head again and again with no signs of stopping. My mother is dead.

The woman who carried me in her womb for nine months is gone forever. She’s dead, buried and now little more than food for the worms, maggots and flies that will slowly but surely devour her and yet one thing comes back to me. My mother is dead and I couldn’t be happier.”
