Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ahmed Lotfy Rashed Over the course of 6 years, I helped facilitate dialogue with many different people, answering questions about Islam and addressing misconceptions abo…moreOver the course of 6 years, I helped facilitate dialogue with many different people, answering questions about Islam and addressing misconceptions about my faith. While many of the conversations were simple question-answer sessions, quite a few were deep and engaging dialogues. I felt that it would be a great loss if these interactions remained out of the public sphere, so I wrote this book to share those conversations with people who
might otherwise not have the ability or opportunity to talk with a
Muslim about the beliefs of our faith.

Over the course of these dialogues, I compiled an extensive
list of resources, documents, and other information that has benefited my conversation partners. I have written this book in part to share reliable, authentic, quality resources for those seeking information, and those who would like to know which sources are reliable and reputable in a simple way.

My hope is that this book can be a small step towards
better understanding and harmony.(less)
