Mrs. Stevens grew up constantly asking her parents “Why?” causing her dad to repeatedly ask her if she was writing a book. Well, after all these years the answer to that all too familiar question is “yes.” As a mother of four she put her inquisitive mind and imagination to good use. The creative writing classes she took for fun helped her come up with bedtime stories for her children. When the stories blossomed into family favorites she began sharing them with friends and neighbors. She was thrilled when neighbors would show up unexpectedly wanting to borrow a story for their children’s bedtime. As her children grew Mrs. Stevens ventured from cute bedtime stories to ones that were better suited for older children.

It took me awhile to sift through all the things I enjoy about being a writer and decide on the "best thing". My initial thought was the mere fun of creating and bringing to life a new world and characters; however, the more I thought about it, I have to say there's nothing better than having a reader completely enjoy one of my books/series. I recently had a reader complete "The Legend of Dalton Manor" and email me the following:
"Hi T.L. Stevens, this is Trish. Oh my goodness! I just finished book 4 of the Dalton Manor seres. Wow! I literally couldn't put the book down today. I just have to know; Are there going to be more books?"
This made my day, I don't think I stopped smiling until bedtime. As I said on my author page in "The Gift" book 1 - It's you, the reader that makes a story come to life, without you they're just words on a page.
So long story short, it's the enjoyment of my readers that is the absolute best thing about being a writer.

Welcome 2026

I hope 2026 has started off with wonderful blessings for all of you. :)
As for me, it's going very well. Yenni is halfway through narrating "The Legend of Dalton Manor Series." The holidays slowed things down a bit, but she's now hard at work to complete the book.
