Born & brought up in Vasai, a small town near Mumbai (though only an hour away, Vasai is decades behind Mumbai in terms of development - both of the outside and the inside!) I fell in love with books in my school days. We were allowed only one book per week and I would trade my pocket-money with my brother and friends to get them to pick the books I wanted. Every time I would read a new author's work, I would dream of seeing me name on the book cover.
I started working on True Liars when I was in ninth grade, and then quit - because I told myself that wasn't good enough.
Finally last year, plucked enough courage to find that half-written story and finish it - only to find that it was accepted by Harper Collins right away!
