I am the author of two books: "Texas Secessionists Standoff; the 1997 Republic of Texas War," (January 2023) and The Broken Spoke: Austin's Legendary Honky-Tonk, (April 2017; both books were published by Texas A&M University Press. I have written a comedy feature script, The Broken Spoke, based upon my 2017 book, and have co-written a TV limited series, The Texas Secessionists with fellow screenwriter Cynthia Uhrich, based upon my 2023 book.
