I just finished your novel The Solutrean Arc. An interesting theory and maybe not as improbable as one would think. Can you explain how the idea of telling a progressive and regressive story line came to be? Also will there be a sequel and when can we expect it? Thank you for your time.

John Crianza When I began outlining the main story line, I noticed I inadvertently plotted the secondary story line in reverse. With an idea of the main characters…moreWhen I began outlining the main story line, I noticed I inadvertently plotted the secondary story line in reverse. With an idea of the main characters in mind, I found myself actually solving this mystery alongside them. Using that as a tool to get to know them, we developed a stronger bond and in that processes I realized we had been on a bit of a journey together. Within that came the inspiration to share that same experience with my readers in deconstructing a series of events. Once I had that epiphany, I found it conducive to set up both timelines stemming from a single discovery, one whose events lead forward in time while simultaneously telling the other as it moved backwards in time.

A sequel is already in the planning stages and is only fair to anyone who's taken the time to join this little adventure of mine. I just have to ask that everyone please be patient!! I'm actually very excited myself with what I've been working on so far. Realistically speaking, I'm thinking it'll be sometime around 2019 before I can get a quality followup worthy of sharing with my audience.(less)
