Garrett A. Foster was born in Connecticut but has called South Florida home for nearly thirty years.

He attended Vassar College and began his writing career on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light — an experience that won him an Emmy Award as part of the 1990 writing team. He also served as editor-in-chief of Soap Opera Magazine, followed by senior editor positions at The Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel.

Garrett's experience as a two-time cancer survivor led him to pursue his dream of being a published author and to become ordained as an interfaith minister. His novels tend to be beach reads with substance. His non-fiction inspires people to find peace and healing through love, forgiveness and gratitude.
