I receive so many messages and tidbits of writing that the challenge for me (with two young children ), is to allocate the time to polish those pieces and put them into meaningful forms such as blogs and books. Many of the ideas behind my answers to the questions featured in "Messages from the Heart" came in the middle of the night so I would email myself under the covers so as to not wake my husband! I suppose having an abundance of content instead of the dreaded writer's block is a good problem to have, so I shouldn't complain.(less)

If you've had a desire to be a published author for a long time and that dream comes true, like it did for me, that feeling is indescribable. Which is ironic for a writer! Don't hold back, stare down your fears and think about how you'd feel if you didn't get to achieve this – use that as your inspiration to make it happen. The time is now. As I posted on my website, "to anyone who is considering writing a book, the first thing I would say is, it's not for the faint-hearted. The second thing I would say is go for it!" (less)

"Bad Country" is a page-turner, alright! It is gripping, powerful, at times confrontational–it’s so bad, it’s good.

There were many things I loved about this book. The pace at which Kim tells the story, revealing important clues and hints throughout,
