“He moved like a dancer, which is not surprising; a horse is a beautiful animal, but it is perhaps most remarkable because it moves as if it always hears music.”
Mark Helprin, Winter's Tale

“Then occurred a rare thing about which men and women sometimes dream. They carried on a full conversation in complete silence, discerning feelings, plans, exclamations, jokes, opinions, laughter, and dreams- rapidly, silently, inexplicably.”
Mark Helprin

“I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without expectations of rewards or punishments after I am dead.”
Kurt Vonnegut

“So many books, so little time.”
Frank Zappa

“If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
