For Authors: start Your Mailing List
I’ve been self-publishing since 2008, have put out 16 novels with another on the way, and lived VERY well on my book royalties for a number of years before my muse up and left for an extended vacation. If there’s one piece of advice I’d give aspiring authors, it would be to START A MAILING LIST ASAP AND NEVER STOP GROWING IT!

added a status update: Whoever downloaded a bunch of copies of SEASON OF THE HARVEST (which is still free, BTW) the last few days - thank you! It's been fun seeing it jump up into the top 5 of the Amazon free technothrillers category. FIRST CONTACT also got a nice boost up into the top 10 of the free galactic empire category!

Bona Fide Reflections
Hey, folks! I'm putting together a group of beta readers for DEAD SOUL, the latest novel of the IN HER NAME series. I've already got several, but am looking for a couple more. I'm mainly looking for folks to help critique the story and find its weak spots, things that strike you as odd, etc. I don't ask that beta readers look for spelling or grammar bloopers, but if you do notice some and pass them along, it would be most appreciated. :-)
This is on a pretty tight timeline, unfortunately: I'd like to have the feedback in by this coming Sunday, so please take that into account.
Anyway, if you're interested, please let me know by this afternoon today and I'll send you a copy (Kindle, PDF, or ePub format).
