How Not To Be on Facebook
Good Evening Readers
It's still very frosty here in Suffolk but the sun during the day makes it pleasant to get out. I want to write a little today about Social Media because getting away from the influence of social media definitely helps clear your head. I am currently overwhelmed with posts about Donald Trump, positivity and animals doing remarkable things. Plus dogs and cats that have been rescued in traumatic circumstances and on and on. Do you ever think if you read another post, your head is going to explode? I'm going to list some alternatives which we've probably forgotten about.
1. Pick up the landline and call a friend. Yes the landline, do you still remember your number.
2. Go for a walk or feed the ducks - cycle or jog. Go somewhere new, that you've never been before and just explore.
3. Visit friends or ask them to come and see you and invite them for dinner. Yes, get out a recipe book because you are having an internet free day.
4. Exercise Cycle or row, go to the gym.
5. Visit a relative that you haven't seen for a while.
6. Write a letter and
7. Make a cake.
Most of all don't talk social media because doing that sounds rather like talking soap opera and it can soon become boring. "Yeah, you said this, or that, online!"
Generate a space, meditate, sing, dance and most of all, don't forget to feel the earth under your feet because there is nothing energising about social media.
Don't become a hologram - you are a real person.
Have a good evening,
Love Jennifer
