Micah Thomas was born in North Carolina, and moved frequently throughout his childhood and teenaged years, staying with relatives and friends in a series of apartments, houses, shacks and sometimes on the streets in West Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Mississippi, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Washington and Arizona. Then I had another false start in my early 20s with a graphic novel in Chicago that was never finished being illustrated. Yet another false start in my mid 20s, coauthoring screenplays with a philosophy professor. I barely started anything, and didn't complete a thing between 25-35, then it clicked. I had a novel. A barrier layer between your direct experience and the mind behind your eyes is formed through interpretation and analogy. Taste this, it tastes like something else. Don't touch, its hot and hot is like hurts. When I write, none of that has to be true. Anything is possible and you answer to no one in your exploration. (less)

pay day

Getting paid feels so fine. Reward centers in the brain light up with clusters of neurotransmission. That's a thing I tried to give you in my books. The reward. The payout. The payoff. This sense of work, risk, and now dessert.

I won't downplay the horrors of life or word. Please come back to Eudaimonia. Finish what you started. This would motivate me to finish what I have started.
