Esmé van den Boom (1993) is dichter en schrijver. Ze is gedreven door een nieuwsgierigheid naar het alledaagse en verborgen verhalen. Haar werk balanceert tussen fascinatie en ontdekking. Ze was huisdichter van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen en werd door NRC uitgeroepen tot een van de tien schrijvers om in de gaten te houden. Met Eigen kamers, haar bundel over de dromen en angsten van Groningse vrouwen, won ze het Hendrik de Vriesstipendium. In 2024 en 2025 was ze stadsdichter van Groningen.
