My first career was in the US Army. I served for 22 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1994. In my second career, I spent 22 years working for a large public school system and retired as an Executive Director in 2017. I love to tell my grandchildren stories and decided to put one of them to paper. As a result, I published "Mission Proxima b: Interstellar Voyage," by Scion Fra in 2020. I guess for me it was important to have an idea, a rough story in mind first. Then, one must sit down and begin writing, anything, just write. Write as much as you can...then leave it alone for a while. When you feel up to it go back and read it and start to make changes or add to it. Now you're well on your way. Unless you are truly exceptional, don't expect to have a polished book finished in a week, or a month, or even after a year. Some days are easier than others. It's hard work. It is creative work and it takes time. If you stick with it, you will eventually succeed!

Mission Proxima b characters

Mission Proxima b: Interstellar Voyage was written for my grandchildren, therefore, they are the main characters and heroes in the book. They loved it!
