The defining feature of my life is a duality: I have absorbed Western culture and lived in the West in my youth, but I was born an East Indian and lived most of my life in India and Bangladesh. I have lived the great divide that exists between these two worlds, and in the broader sense, between all races and cultures. I am uniquely positioned to appreciate the distinct identity of the various races of the world, an identity that encompasses the soul of a folk.

In this age of enforced globalization and the transformation of the West by means of multiculturalism, it is meet that everyone understands the value of every distinct race, nation and culture, and stands against the destruction of any one of them. There is beauty and wonder in almost everything that surrounds us here in Canada. And there is mystery and interest in persons, in groups, in the stories of families, friends and localities. An author could write fluff, could write mysteries, and write stories --- long or short --- pregnant with wisdom and symbolism. All of these have great value, and such books enrich our lives and culture. However, as we see our lives and neighborhoods being transformed, as we see the planet heading rapidly to oblivion, it is natural that persons like me now feel that if we write, we must write to address these menaces to our lives, nations and life on the planet. That is why, in my very first attempt at a book, I have woven a story that entertains, yet goes beyond mere entertainment to look deeply into the neglected social issues of our time, into the death of the West, and the hidden forces driving us all to pits of darkness from which none of us will ever escape.

My life-path has driven me to this place in my life, to this first book "Sweet Dreams and Terror Cells," to Goodreads, and to you. Let us raise a glass, read with relish, laugh at the Devil, and live for the good fight, the good life, for laughs, and for those we love. To cite from the song of Carl Klang, "There's time for me and you, there's love to see us through."
