I grew up in Ontario’s cottage country. I attended McMaster University, where I studied languages and philosophy. I travelled through Europe and was an au pair in France. It was while living there that I cultivated my love of languages and computers. Upon returning to Canada, I studied computer programming after which I started up her own corporate software training company, which she still manages today.

Along with her husband Dan, I'm a long-time Rotary Club member, where we enjoy both the fellowship and service to others in their own community and all over the world.

I started my first novel, Breach, in 2016, I now do my writing on an island in Georgian Bay, Ontario.
