I think the most helpful thing I have learned about it is that some days the fight will be too bloody and my side will take heavy causalities, so on those days, it is best to walk away. Obviously that can't be my answer every day that I am faced with writers block, so on the days where I know I can still fight the good fight, I write. Even if I know I will have to rewrite every single word I put down on a better day, getting some words on the page is triumph enough.(less)

There can be so much going on on the pages I am writing, great battles, terrible deeds, fantastical magic...but that cat is still just calmly sleeping away, dreaming cat dreams, and keeping me company.(less)
