What does exist is fear and laziness.

How do I know? I've experienced it. Fear is a great demotivator and will numb you to the core when it comes to writing. I've experienced it firsthand when I visualized people pointing at my book and laughing. It's a horrible feeling.

But then I realized that I'm not writing my book(s) for the reader(s), I'm writing my book(s) for me. That's it. Once you realize it's a hobby and it's supposed to be fun, fear goes out the window.(less)

It's a solo effort and though I appreciate writer's groups and writing buddies, I have to do this on my own. I feel those co-op writing groups are a bit distracting.

I'm also an Indie Author, which means I do EVERYTHING on my own. Sure, it takes up a lot of my time, but there's no greater feeling than having full ownership of your work. The struggle is worth the reward.(less)
