HOLDING ON - RELEASE DAY!
Holding on
Maturity, wisdom, experience... What they don’t tell you when you’re young is that it comes with a price. When you’re fifty-something, who you are isn’t just built up from laughter and luck. Some things will hurt, and sometimes so badly you just want to curl up and hide for forever, but the tide always turns. You’ll emerge on the other side, although not quite the same. Still you, but also not you anymore.
But what if life hits you so hard you forget how to breathe? And then hits you some more?
How will you cope?
Will you curl up and whimper, or are you resilient enough to regroup and somehow keep walking, holding on to the hope that you one day will breathe easy again?
Adeline has to find out, but lucky for her, she finds someone to lean on...
I hope you'll enjoy!

Release day!
You don’t stop wanting just because you’ve passed fifty. Life isn’t over and it doesn’t have to suddenly become staid and predictable and boring. It’s still possible to grow and live a life full of whatever you want to fill it with.
Some of that is because of luck or circumstances out of your control. But some of it is because of the choices you make.
Nina and Matthias’ story is now live anywhere you usually buy your books.
I hope you enjoy!

Happy new book day!
Ice is finally released!
My plans were to just write about the twins (Black and Ice) and I have a few other projects ongoing, but I’ve realized that at some point I will have to return to Rogan to share Roddy and Gee’s story.
And then there’s this thing about Brooks...
Oh, well. That’s for later - tonight I’ll have a few glasses of bubbles to celebrate Petter and Reena’s story!
Have a fab weekend everyone!

Ice
Finally: Ice, Thor#2, is now available (release date Jan 31st) where you usually buy books!
And as usual - preorder at 99c.
I'm now suffering from my customary the end-blues, but I'll cure it by going for a long run tonight, and then I will kick off my next project. Or, at least, try to decide which story to write first...
Take care,
xo/Mia

Social media Antichrist?
I FU’d on the Facebook stuff... told you social media wasn’t my thing, turned out this was true :)
I have now sorted things out as far as I can tell and there’s a Mia Malone page where I’ll post stuff like new releases and such.
I also created a public group called ‘Mia Malone’s stories’ where I’ll add other things for those who are interested (Petter Hagen is there..).
Here’s the page:
https://www.facebook.com/malonewrites
I hope the link works, but at this stage I am in no position to offer guarantees O.O
The group should be visible as a button somewhere on the page. (If you do a search for the group and also find a private group with the same name, please ignore that one. Part of my FU and now I can’t remove it, long story, don’t ask...)
Anyways, I have exactly zero “likes” on the page so if anyone feels up to like or follow or whatever then Facebook might stop telling me to spend money on ads which I won’t because I personally find ads annoying and mostly ignore them.
I do have one member in the group (welcome, and how the heck did you find it!?!), or yeah, two if one counts me, LOL!!
I have absolutely no clue where this social media adventure might lead, and please please please don’t expect me to post inspirational quotes. I f’ing hate inspirational quotes, especially the ones who makes sense bc they are also kind of smug, aren’t they?

Short update
So yeah, all in all this has been an exceptionally shitty year.
It started out with a reasonably nasty cancer diagnosis (not me, but close enough to turn my world upside down), continued with a huge graduation celebration and subsequent move of kiddo #1 to college (ten hours away), divorce (yup, me) and subsequent sale of house in need of some fixing up, and subsequent purchase of new house in need of sorting out. Add to that my day-job, kiddo #2, a couple of dogs, elderly parents... and a friggin’ tennis elbow when I do not in any way play tennis. Or *shudder* golf for that matter.
I don’t mean to whine and please don’t feel sorry for me, I don’t – life happens to all of us and I just got hit with a lot of life at the same time. The cancer is responding to treatment and splitting up was surprisingly amicable (he got the Harley; I got the dogs, so we’re both happy).
Anyways, I figured I’d let you know in case you wonder if I’ll ever publish anything again. I totally will, I just need to catch my breath for a little while.
Oh, and I’ve given in... I am now on Facebook, so if anyone wants to be a friend or follow or whatever then here’s where you go:
Mia on Facebook
I also created a group where you get to take a look at Petter Hagen;
Mia Malone's stories
No clue what to do with this whole social media thing, but I guess I’ll figure something out, LOL!
So, shitty year but things are looking good from where I am right now and I’m writing again...
Take care of yourself and those you love.

Mac
I had this idea about a group of men; My age which is fifty (-something if one counts, which one mostly doesn't). Strong, handsome, but with a history and for various reasons finding themselves not without partners but unattached. What would it take for them to fall? What kind of women would be strong enough to handle guys like that?
Then I sat down to write.
I didn’t deliberately try to create a specific kind of books or copy what’s already written, and let me tell you; the men in my life who upon occasion plants their behinds on their Harleys would laugh if I tried for full-blown biker romance (although they do provide input in the form of, “Babe. No one says fu%k that often, not all men have big di%#s, and what’s your thing with long hair anyway?” To which I respond, “I beg to differ, I know, and what can I say? It’s hot.”).
Anyway. The truth is as simple as I am – God knows I have a head full of stories and no clue what I’m doing, so I just write whatever comes to my mind and the only thing I aim for are things I’d like to read myself.
So there they were; my calm warrior, the one who always was too pretty, the solid but just a bit dirty man and the restless charmer. And it hurts to say goodbye, but all good (or bad according to some, LOL) things come to an end, so the final story is now live.
Here he is, Oscar Mackenzie.
My Mac.
I hope you enjoy.

Waterfront prequel(ish)
Hey -
Sometimes things don't end up the way you think they'll end up, and when I started writing Brody's story, I thought he'd end up with a pastry chef called Carol.
That didn't happen, because halfway through the first chapter I realised he wasn't ready for a relationship and she didn't want him... LOL!
So, I finished the chapter, and moved on to write Waterfront Café instead - but if you want to read the chapter I threw away, then I've put it up on a nifty little site called Wattpad.
I might publish other stuff there (and announce it here), if there's an interest for it and I find anything on my trusted laptop that's worth it...
Anyways - to get a glimpse of the men at the waterfront, here's where you go:

A curveball
Sometimes a story can’t wait, and I had one bouncing around in my head, so I’m gonna throw you a curveball.
Enter Black Hagen and a woman who turns out to be stronger than anyone he’s ever met.
BLACK is available where you pick up books, and as always – if you like, please spread the word.
I’m still working on Mac, and I’ll get off the internet now and finish his story the way I want it to be, tropes, kinky habits and all... Release date is still May 31st, and his story will be up for pre-order all over sometimes by the end of this weekend (it’s available in some places already).
I honestly don’t know where I’ll go after Mac and it seems likely that I’ll take a break for a while. If I don’t, it’ll be Patrick’s story next, or Ice’s. Or Raz’. Or, yeah. A break.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy Black. I certainly enjoyed writing it.
