Mac

I had this idea about a group of men; My age which is fifty (-something if one counts, which one mostly doesn't). Strong, handsome, but with a history and for various reasons finding themselves not without partners but unattached. What would it take for them to fall? What kind of women would be strong enough to handle guys like that?

Then I sat down to write.
I didn’t deliberately try to create a specific kind of books or copy what’s already written, and let me tell you; the men in my life who upon occasion plants their behinds on their Harleys would laugh if I tried for full-blown biker romance (although they do provide input in the form of, “Babe. No one says fu%k that often, not all men have big di%#s, and what’s your thing with long hair anyway?” To which I respond, “I beg to differ, I know, and what can I say? It’s hot.”).
Anyway. The truth is as simple as I am – God knows I have a head full of stories and no clue what I’m doing, so I just write whatever comes to my mind and the only thing I aim for are things I’d like to read myself.

So there they were; my calm warrior, the one who always was too pretty, the solid but just a bit dirty man and the restless charmer. And it hurts to say goodbye, but all good (or bad according to some, LOL) things come to an end, so the final story is now live.

Here he is, Oscar Mackenzie.
My Mac.

I hope you enjoy.

XO/Mia

Mia Malone Thank you!!
And it makes me a bit of a fool but I actually don’t get the Ms Ashley ref to Mick. I just like playing with names... Gee and Lee, Digger and Dagger, Mac and...
Yeah. I’m a bit dorky :)

Bernie I too am glad that you have a bunch of more stories waiting to be put to paper. I just finished reading " Black" after a marathon of reading all of your books. Love how your series tap into each other. Love that the characters have such great friends. Love Seasoned Romances. Thank you for sharing your stories

message 4: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Horn So a friend told me to read your book Gibson. 2 days later I have read every single book you have released. I just adore your books and characters. When do you think you will have your next release?

message 5: by Mia (new)

Mia Malone Hey Bernie & Nikki - thank you so much!!

Regarding next release - I just don’t know right now. I wasn’t sure how interested people were in my stories (until a few days ago, Black had one single review on Amazon..), and needed to take a step back, gather up some energy and think about what to do next. My best guess is “sometimes after the summer”...

Bernie I just found out about your books from a Facebook group called Seasoned Romance - so the word is getting out about your books! I am sorry to say I am not one to write a review much (I am trying to do more) but I read your post about how you are not into social media very much so I was determined to write a review to help spread the word. Wish I was more wordy to describe the stories, I really just like to read. Thank you again for you great stories!

message 7: by Shirley (new)

Shirley Brown As a woman older than you, I truly appreciate your writing! Love can be found at any age and you give your readers all the spectrums of romance: compromise, communication, sharing and surrender that make lasting love possible. Have to admit I binged after reading Mac and downloaded all your books and read them this past week. Thank you Mia! You've found another reader who can appreciate your work and I can't wait for more!

Thanks! I don’t review much either, but more now than before at least - and you’re wordy enough to make me very happy!! And yeah, I like when people appreciate my stories - who wouldn’t - but at the end of the day... I mostly write because I don’t know how not to write and suspect my head would explode if I didn’t, LOL!

Thank you, and yes!! Love and all that comes with it does not end because one hits a certain age. In my opinion, it actually becomes better in many ways, and my twenties and thirties were fun but I don’t want to go back...

There will be more books coming, as soon as I stop writing them and start editing and spellchecking them :)

Susana Mendes Any news on more books?Maybe Black's brother history or a new series with Gibson son's?Pleaaaaaase.HUGS

message 11: by Gskm (new)

Gskm I love the series. I could cry that it’s come to an end. You do you girl and write....it works! Of course, you could do a spin off on the kids....just keep writing, I will keep reading!

Hey - I honestly thought I would have finished it by now but I’m taking my time bc this dude’s woman threw me a curveball I hadn’t expected... and yeah, Black’s brother Ice is next. I’m getting there, I promise.

And I’m sorry but I can’t for the life of me see Gib’s (or Day’s or Black’s) boys getting their own books in the next fifteen years. They’re too young for my taste, so they’ll stay supporting cast and find happiness (or not) that way instead :)

Once I’m happy with Petter Hagen and the surprise he gets, I’ll see where I go. Patrick and Annie? Or possibly something else I’ve been jotting down snippets of...

Thank you!! I love all my guys and their women, but the brothers will always be special to me... That’s where I started, and sometimes I miss them too so I sometimes bring them in as “guests” in other books :)

And yeah, I’ll totally keep typing until I have no more stories to tell... and it makes me goofy-happy when people enjoy so thanks for letting me know!

Thank you!! So glad you liked my guys and their women, and I’m not sure about the kiddos, but I might return to Wilhelmine for other reasons in the future. I miss that place too... Just have to get a few other stories out of my messy brain first 😁

I hope you enjoy Thor, that’s another place I might go back to eventually.
