A professional writer for many years (if you count legal documents), and lifelong aficionado of science fiction and fantasy novels, board games, and the full gamut of movies. Particular guilty pleasures include teen comedy, rom-coms, and film noir. I usually enjoy fast-paced and sharp books with an emotional hook, and occasional (appropriately used) abstruse verbiage - I attempt the same with my own writing.

An attorney by training, the thought of a damaged, analytical person weaving together the threads of her messy life, and making the best of things despite having been burned, spoke greatly to me.
