MAGGIE FOSTER is the author of the award-winning Loch Lonach Scottish Mystery Series set in north Texas and featuring the descendants of the Scots who settled in the area in the mid-1800s. She herself is a seventh-generation Texan of Scottish descent.

I was living in Corpus Christie at one point and left some film to be developed in a shop that did that. Very old school and it was a long time ago. When I went back to pick it up, the shop was gone and the neighboring store owners said nothing such as I described had ever been there. I never found out what had happened. Good thing there were no dead bodies in my pics! I can imagine either a mental health problem (mine, probably), or a cover-up, which would be a lot more fun to write about! And Corpus would make a good venue. Thanks for asking! :> Maggie(less)
