Author of the Psychic Karate novels, a blend of modern horror with graphic novel and manga sensibilities.

UC Berkeley psychology graduate, self-taught visual and verbal artist.

Major influences range from Burroughs, Twain and Vonnegut to the comic book masters, like Koike, Lee and Kirby.

In general, I prefer character and atmosphere over plot structure and I enjoy attempts (even failed attempts) to deconstruct the modern idea of a story's structure.

I'm trying to get more well-read on the poetry scene and, to be honest, I need some help!
