I know what I want the story to be about when I start, but as the characters develop, the direction the story goes sometimes changes. Quantum Arrow is a good example. I wanted to write a realistic story about alien abductions and provide a reason for why they occur. Adding time displacement and multiverses developed as I wrote which gave me an idea on the sequel. (Yet to be written, but it will be as I know where I want it to go) As to the characteristics of a good book, I believe it should have layers and great characters that people can relate to and bond. Fantasy and realism need to blend to create something unique. I don't have just one favorite book. I have several in different genres. The Martian by Andy Weir is one of the best hard science books that I've read. (Liked the movie too) I enjoy James Rollins, Preston and Child, Dan Brown and Clive Cussler novels. Contact by Carl Sagan is another classic favorite and of course all of the Star Wars sagas. (Well over a hundred and fifty books by different authors) There are many Indie authors who have written some great books that I've enjoyed. Stephen Douglas Brown, Brian Kitchen, Jonathan Meyers, Caleb Pirtle and many more. If you any other questions, feel free to ask. (less)

I have always enjoyed reading the Navajo based saga. The characters, language references, and history are solid. This story was very slow to develop. Action started at the end.

Glenn Frank I enjoyed the adventure. I was lucky enough to find the Arklight series when all three books were already complete so I could read them all one after the other!

G.B. The ARKLIGHT Ancient Alien Adventure series is available as an ebook on Kindle, and in paperback and hardback. ARKLIGHT Revelations is the first book of the series, followed by ARKLIGHT Recondite. For those of you waiting for the third book, ARKLIGHT Regulus, is now available. From the comments and reviews, it sounds like people are enjoying the characters and the story. It makes a writer feel great knowing that others have found the adventure worthy of their time. I appreciate all of your support.
