Do you plan your story before writing or let it simple develop while start with process of writing book itself? What are characteristics of good book, to you? What is your favourite book and why?

G.B. Holley Thank you for the inquiry. I know what I want the story to be about when I start, but as the characters develop, the direction the story goes sometimes changes. Quantum Arrow is a good example. I wanted to write a realistic story about alien abductions and provide a reason for why they occur. Adding time displacement and multiverses developed as I wrote which gave me an idea on the sequel. (Yet to be written, but it will be as I know where I want it to go) As to the characteristics of a good book, I believe it should have layers and great characters that people can relate to and bond. Fantasy and realism need to blend to create something unique. I don't have just one favorite book. I have several in different genres. The Martian by Andy Weir is one of the best hard science books that I've read. (Liked the movie too) I enjoy James Rollins, Preston and Child, Dan Brown and Clive Cussler novels. Contact by Carl Sagan is another classic favorite and of course all of the Star Wars sagas. (Well over a hundred and fifty books by different authors) There are many Indie authors who have written some great books that I've enjoyed.
