Racha Mourtada is the author of '55 slightly sinister stories', a book of deliciously dark tiny tales, published in June 2020 (Andrews McMeel Universal). She has also written the children's book, 'Swingers, Clingers and Other Amazing Animals in Motion', and 'I'll Love You from Afar", which is being translated into several languages.

An alumnus of Faber Academy's 'Novel Writing Course' and the inaugural 'Columbia Publishing Course' at Oxford University, Racha decided to leave her corporate life in Dubai and move back to her native Beirut to set up Luqoom, a boutique publishing house for children's books, and focus on her writing.

A lot of people feel intimidated and think that they need to improve their skills first or take a course or be able to write beautifully off the bat. But all you need to do is dive in and start writing, even if it is badly, which it most likely will be. That's what rewriting is for.
