Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Prudence S. That made me think what would life have been like for women in Lancashire in the era of the witch trials if England had not been a Christian country? That gave me the basis for the alternate history/fantasy setting for the series.

The mystery plot was influenced by thinking about justice and the experiences that inform people's personality and choices.

I guess that most of my writing starts with a "what if." Stephen King talks about this in On Writing. Make a note of the what if questions that pop into your mind. You never know which of them might be the seed for your next book!(less)

Forgotten Deed cover reveal and release date!

Book 2 of the Cunning Folk Mysteries, Forgotten Deeds is all but ready to go! The final touches are being worked on and I plan to launch it by the 15th December 2018. There is a sneak peek of the cover over on my Instagram page. The story is filled with snow and intrigue, I hope you'll enjoy reading it wrapped up with a hot drink and your favourite blanket!
