Etaski writes DnD-style Epic Fantasy with expansive worldbuilding and large casts. We start with an Abyssal underground city, dark and disturbing, gradually moving out into the light. Interconnected plots and tones weave through character discoveries, where they sometimes learn from their mistakes. Found Family is a core theme throughout her world.

"Sister Seekers" begins with an isolated race of Dark Elves in "No Demons But Us." Perfect for fans of entwined plots across multiple books, mature and challenging themes, and immersive worlds which include strong elements of horror and the erotic. We explore sexuality and inner conflict with nuance, intrigue, action, and fantastical magic.

I get moving.

I'm an introspective introvert. My body and mind are not always explicitly aware of each other when I'm thinking, but they are nonetheless always linked. It's not exercise, though. That's high body stress, and it takes concentration. I can't exercise and write at the same time. Movement for my writer's block is automatic, where the ideas can still happen. It's walking, cleaning, traveling long distances, dancing in my living room. Accompanying music also helps.

I walked long distances growing up--I was one of the few kids I knew who walked 2 miles to and from school during good weather because I preferred to be alone thinking than take the bus. That's probably where the "movement = idea flow" came from, and it's been able to shatter any writer's block so far. I've proven to myself that a moving, healthy body helps when my mind gets sluggish, stressed, or blocked.

Sister Seekers 10 is live!

Finally, after a rough year, I've finished the midway book of my series! :D

Shadows and Hounds Sister Seekers 10

It's my longest book yet, largely due to the intricate lead-up to a complex series of battles and skirmishes. Definitely required to elevate this critical conflict from the first time I wrote it in 2015. ^_^

There's so much that happens... and looking ahead to the next 10 books, it feels a Read more of this blog post »
