Do the work and don't quit.

Start typing (or scribbling on paper) whatever crosses your mind. Even if it's something like, "I have no idea what to write and sitting here in front of a blank page is the stupidest thing I've ever done and I can't imagine whatever gave me the idea I could write..." If I keep my hands moving on the keyboard, eventually something comes out. And, most often, it surprises me. Didn't even know I was thinking or feeling it. And then, if I don't quit, the words slowly morph into something worth reading. (less)
