My technique is to take a long hot shower, and…moreWriter's block afflicts all writers, no matter how experience or successful, the key is shaking it off. My technique is to take a long hot shower, and play the story in my head like a movie. I immerse myself in the story world, shutting out everything around me.
I then sit down at the keyboard and start a new scene... a throwaway scene. I just toss whatever comes to my head onto the page, and before long it transforms from a throwaway scene, to 2,000 + words of a decent scene that can always be edited and fine tuned. At the end of the day, I have conquered writer's block, and done some writing.(less)
