I could use your help.

I'm currently working on multiple projects, but I'm missing one important thing: feedback. Sometimes, authors question a line, scene, or action and wonder how it comes across. It's me. I'm some authors!

Because I like to cover heavy topics and get a little dark—maybe a lot dark with some of the newer projects—it's important to have someone who will let me know if I'm doing too much or if I can afford to turn it up more. I'm looking for people who are available to do just that during various stages of drafting.

This year, I decided to celebrate my birthday by sharing the opening chapter of not one but two works in progress. I've dished out some details about my arranged marriage series on IG thus far but the other is was one of my hush projects. At any rate, both worlds interconnect. I was tired of timid damsels who had to be saved. So I wrote a bold, cunning, smart-mouthed heroine to face off with a ruthless anti-hero.

Strange men break into the apartment of a young woman in the middle of the night. Instead of having her cower, scream for help, or beg, I made her go out the window practically in her underwear. Captured and blindfolded, she's taken to a man with startling blue eyes. There's a mutual attraction. There's a deadbeat father sighting. And then there's a gun pressed to her head.

Once again, Danica was faced with a choice. Cry, cower, or beg. She chose neither. A decision is made. Lives are in danger. The chase is on and through it all, Danica and Easton think they can resist each other.

I wanted suspense, mystery, and romance all in one chapter. That's all this was supposed to be—a single chapter story to get the rebellion out of my system. All I wanted was to write something quick that was true to me. Flawed but real and relatable characters. A sort of, "what would you do" type of situation then twisted it by having my heroine do the opposite.

Danica's inability to submit and the mystery of Easton gained more traction than I ever anticipated. It also encouraged me to follow my heart. From Easton, I wanted to go dark so I created Antonio and Intensity. From Antonio, there are many, growing increasingly darker with heroines who're time enough for them.

The full first chapter is posted free on my website so you can experience what my first readers experienced when I initially posted Daddy's Debt as a one-shot in 2013. Going forward, the opening chapter of all my upcoming books will be available on my website and the second chapter will be sent to my mailing list subscribers shortly after the first chapter is posted.

For those of you who don't follow me on IG or Facebook, it's a while and I apologize. Book 3, Donny and Eden's story will be released soon.

In advance, I would like to warn any and all interested in reading this book that heavy topics are within those pages. Triggers, for sure. The intent is to not be harmful but to bring a bit of reality and depth to this fictional love story.

This book can be read as a standalone. However, it's recommended that Intensity (Book 1) and Infamy (Book 2) are read first.

Long-time no speak, I know. I just wanted to pop in with an update.

Intimacy is still happening. I will be revealing that cover soon and a few excerpts via ig: _edenfortae since there is an issue going on with my email campaigns not reaching all the newsletter subscribers. I won't say when it will be released to avoid creating pressure for myself and rush to put out low quality work. Intimacy is an emotional book so I've had to take breaks often to gather myself.

In the meantime, I am trying to come up with short reads that are free and hopefully fun to read.

I revealed through ig that I am planning to release another book called Daddy's Debt, soon. As above, there will be a cover reveal and excerpts.

Basically all news and such will hit Insta and my website first).

I’m going to try to minimize my silence (I hope lol).

Cutting straight to the chase. 

I was unable to upload the final manuscript for Infamy before KDP locked the title. According to the countdown, I had at least 18 hours to get it up. I stayed up all night despite having to work in the morning, to get in my final changes only to find it locked when I went back in. 

After speaking with five different people from Amazon, I finally reached someone who understood my dilemma and guess what?... There was nothing that could be done. Once the title is locked, it's locked. 

At that time, I was given two options. Postpone the release date and be blocked from placing future books on KDP for preorder for a full year and risk being blocked from pre-orders indefinitely...OR...unpublish the book, which will cancel all of the pre-orders, repost the book with the correct manuscript on the desired date of release, and be blocked from placing future books on KDP for preorder for a full year and risk being blocked from pre-orders indefinitely.

I was informed that an emailed would be sent out should I choose to unpublish and cancel the pre-orders. I was also informed by another author that I could simply wait until the book is released and update it. However, in doing that, it could take up to 24 hours for the update to take effect. 

I've weighed my options. Stressed and spilled tears (Yup, I cried) over this and am leaning more towards unpublishing the book and reposting it at midnight EST on December 17th. I chose that date because it's special to me and my heart is set on it. The fact that there are so many pre-orders (Thank you so much, by the way) is making me not want to cancel BUT I really DO NOT want to chance anyone reading anything but the updated version. 

I apologize for this inconvenience. Deeply and truly apologize. I hope those of you who have graciously pre-ordered, can forgive me for this.
