I often will try to find prompts or songs or other inspiration that will allow me to push through the block, but I have sat and stared at a blank screen too many times. I have been told that it is something of a discipline; one has to train one's brain to work through the fog and accept that the writing may be dull or uninspired until there is time to return, revise, and edit.(less)
